New Student Orientation! |
Starting off on the right track!
Welcome to the MCC community! MCC serves over 19,000 students and provides certificates and degrees in more than 80 programs. New Student Orientation will help you:
- To interact with friendly faculty, staff and administration that are here to help you succeed.
- To learn about life on campus from a Peer Mentor and make new friends.
- To manage and find your way through campus by participating in a comprehensive campus tour.
Our Orientation program is designed to benefit the students and their guests. The Student Program highlights small group activities with other new students facilitated by a Peer Mentor. Peer Mentors are students who have been through intensive training to provide new students with the numerous resources and opportunities on campus to assist in the transition to MCC.
The Visitor Program highlights a specialized session for guests to assist in answering questions about books, meal plans, parking, and advice on how to be supportive of their new student. Both students and guests will be entertained and educated by our Peer Mentors as they perform educational skits that address issues commonly faced by students at MCC.
*General College-Wide Orientation occurs on each Orientation date, in addition there are specialized programs that are also presented as follows:
Adult Student Orientation*:
(Day Programs: July 27, August 11, August 18)
(Eve Programs: July 22, Aug 16, August 26)
