Take a Class or Two

You can register part-time for classes at MCC without applying to a degree program. This is considered a non-matriculated status. You may take up to 11.99 credits each term as a non-mat student. Financial aid is not offered. You can take any course in which you have met the prerequisites or requirements of the course. If you choose to enroll in a degree program or transfer to another institution, these courses are all included on your official academic transcript and can be included in a future degree.

Students wishing to enroll at MCC as a non-matriculated student can complete our electronic form to gain access to the registration database by clicking HERE. Or you can simply download and print a paper registration form located HERE. Please complete the paper form and mail it to Registration & Records, MCC, 1000 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14624. Or fax the form to 585-292-3850. Please be sure to include your telephone number and e-mail address on the form in case we need to reach you regarding your enrollment status.

Once you have completed the registration process, please use our online system to check your course registration, pay your tuition bill, review classroom assignments and check your wait list status, if needed.

Once you are enrolled in courses, you will receive a letter with your MCC e-mail information. It is important that you read your MCC e-mail regularly. We will send your updated class schedule at the start of the term, room changes, course changes and other important information via e-mail.

If you change your mind, and no longer wish to take the class in which you are enrolled, be sure to drop the course prior to the first day of the term. Courses dropped prior to the start of the semester will result in no tuition charges. However, if you remain enrolled after the start of the term, you will be charged penalties based on the date you drop the course. Lack of attendance in a course is not a valid reason for a tuition refund. You can read more information about our tuition refund schedule HERE.

Remember, as a non-matriculated student, you are not eligible for financial aid. If you would like to apply for aid, you will need to apply to the college through the Admissions Office.

We welcome you to MCC. If you have questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to contact us at Registration@monroecc.edu. Or we can be reached by telephone at 585-292-2300.
