MCC Baseball Players Moving On
Tribune 9 splits with Genesee (Sept. 5, 2010)
The MCC baseball team split a WNYAC doubleheader with Genesee CC Sunday, dropping the first game 5-2 before rebounding to win game two 5-2.
MCC splits with Jamestown (Sept. 4, 2010)
The MCC baseball team opened the 2010 WNYAC season by splitting a doubleheader with visiting Jamestown Community College.
Brownsten drafted by Atlanta Braves (June 8, 2010)
Former Monroe Tribune Cory Brownsten was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 15th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft.
Six named All-Region (June 3, 2010)
Six Monroe Community College baseball players were named to the All-Region III team.
Former Tribune Perlo to play pro ball in Italy
Former MCC Tribune baseball player Adam Perlo has signed to play professionally in Italy.
MCC falls in district finals
MCC lost to UConn Avery Point in the championship of the East District tournament.
MCC wins sixth straight regional title (May 9, 2010)
The MCC baseball team won its sixth straight Region III title and 21st overall, defeating Genesee CC twice Sunday afternoon.
The Monroe Community College baseball program has won more than 1,200 games in over 40 years of existence. The Tribunes have captured 21 regional championships (including 2010), six District championships, and have made six NJCAA World Series appearances.
MCC has had over 60 All-Americans and many players have been drafted by Major League teams, including Greg Keagle, who pitched for the Detroit Tigers, and Tim Redding, who is currently with the New York Mets.
