MCC defeats Schoolcraft

ROCHESTER - Kaylen O'Brien (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) scored the only goal of the game as fourth-ranked Monroe Community College defeated Schoolcraft College 1-0 Sunday afternoon.

The Tribunes are now 9-2-1 on the season.  The loss was the first for the Ocelots, who are now 10-1-1.

Monroe put pressure on Schoolcraft from the start.  Ten minutes into the opening half, Karly Tolentino (Greece, NY/Greece Odyssey) made a great move and sent a shot that glanced off the crossbar.  O'Brien was there to knock in the rebound for the one-goal advantage.

Keeper Chloe Crook (London, England/Holy Family) and the MCC defense, led by Brittney Lee (Olean, NY/Olean), Jessica DiCesare (Rochester, NY/Aquinas), and Lea Blondell (Marion, NY/Marion), took care of the rest, holding Schoolcraft off the board the rest of the way.

Crook finished with nine saves for her third shutout of the season.
