Tribunes earn third straight shutout
ROCHESTER - The MCC women's soccer team registered its third consecutive shutout, defeating Jamestown-Olean 4-0 Tuesday afternoon on John L. DiMarco Field.
The sixth-ranked Tribunes improved to 6-1-1 on the season. Monroe outshot the Jaguars 32-1 on the game.
Brittani Bove (Marion, NY/Marion) got the Tribunes on the board in the 31st minute, sending a long blast over the head of the Olean goalie for a 1-0 lead. MCC carried that advantage into the break.
Kaylen O'Brien (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) made it 2-0 early in the second half. Monroe then received goals from Karly Tolentino (Greece, NY/Greece Odyssey) and Catherine Mucha (Nunda, NY/Keshequa) to close out the scoring.
Annie Terilli (Brockport, NY/Brockport) had two assists, and Shauna Eccles (Dublin, Ireland/Larkin) and Lea Blondell (Marion, NY/Marion) added one each.
Chloe Crook (London, England/Holy Family) and Hannah Conine (Livonia, NY/Livonia) combined for the shutout.
