Laramie edges Monroe in overtime

ROCHESTER - Vanessa Alexander scored nine minutes into the first overtime as No. 11 Laramie County CC topped No. 4 Monroe CC 2-1 Friday evening.

The Tribunes are now 8-2-1 on the season.  The Golden Eagles move to 11-2-1.

Monroe got on the board right away, as Kaylen O'Brien (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) scored off a pass from Karly Tolentino (Greece, NY/Greece Odyssey) to give Monroe a 1-0 lead just minutes into the game.

Laramie got that goal back at the 34-minute mark.  The game then remained deadlocked at one through regulation and the first nine minutes of overtime before Alexander came through with the winner.
