Cerritos runs past MCC

ROCHESTER - The Cerritos College (Calif.) Falcons scored a pair of goals in each half and went on to a 4-0 victory over host Monroe Community College in a women's soccer match Tuesday afternoon.

 

Jennifer Vega got Cerritos on the board in the 15th minute with a goal that would serve as the eventual game-winner.  Chelsea Villegas redirected a rebound in with 12:19 left in the first half to make it 2-0.

 

The Falcons added a pair of insurance goals in the second half to finish off Monroe.

 

Hannah Conine (Livonia, NY/Livonia) made eight saves over the final 45 minutes for the sixth-ranked Tribunes, who are now 1-1 on the season.
