MCC women's hoops opens with win

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Monroe Community College women's basketball team opened the season with a decisive 61-19 win over the St. Louis University Club team Friday in the 6th Annual Ohio St. Lady Ballstars Challenge.

Sehmonyeh Allen (Freehold, NJ/Neptune) paced the Tribunes with 16 points and four assists.  Fellow sophomore Shan-tasia Padgett (Roselle, NJ/Abraham Clark) added a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

MCC continues play at the tournament Saturday.
