MCC sweeps Mercyhurst

ROCHESTER - Monroe Community College swept Mercyhurst North East in a Western New York Athletic Conference volleyball match Wednesday evening.

The Tribunes topped the Saints 25-23, 25-17, and 25-20.  MCC is 8-2 on the season.

Erica Thompson (Liverpool, NY/Cicero-No. Syracuse) had a brilliant game in the middle, finishing with 14 kills and zero errors.  She also added three blocks.

Virginia Combs (Penfield, NY/Mercy) tallied 27 assists and eight digs, while Lindsey Morehouse (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan) added seven kills, four digs, and two aces.

Paige Calabrese (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) finished with 10 digs and two aces, and Allison Miller (Newark, NY/Newark) added two kills and five blocks.
