MCC women top Buff. St.

BUFFALO - The MCC women's swimming and diving team earned a victory over Buffalo St. Saturday, while the Tribune men were a close second.

The MCC women won by a score of 157-116.  The Bengal men upended MCC 158-125.

Ashley Wumkes (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) and Ashley Dubois (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) were double winners for Monroe.  Wumkes placed first in the 100 back (1:07.90) and the 200 back (2:26.40), while Dubois won the 100 breast (1:16.04) and 200 breast (2:44.02).

Other winners were Jennifer Conklin (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) in the 1000 free (11:23.98) and Alaiya Tuntemeke (South Lima, NY/Livonia) in 1-meter diving (210.75).

Taylor Stewart (Owego, NY/Owego Free) had a huge day for the Tribune men, winning three events.  The sophomore took first in the 200 free (1:53.31), the 200 fly (2:10,64), and the 100 fly (56.71).

Connor Kilmer (Auburn, NY/Auburn) won the 50 free (23.49) and the 100 free (50.82).
