What is Rochester AmeriCorps?
Each year Rochester AmeriCorps enrolls members who are placed at a variety of local organizations. Our mission is to mobilize AmeriCorps members and Community volunteers to address pressing issues in the Rochester area, with an emphasis on initiatives involving children and youth. Our program, sponsored by Monroe Community College, is located at the Damon City Campus in downtown Rochester.
What do our members do?
Members carry out activities in the areas of youth development, violence prevention, social development and recreation, educational support, and job readiness. Daily schedules and specific responsibilities vary by site.
